John and Nancy and their family moved to Appanoose Twp., Union Co., IA,
in the
autumn of 1864. Their farm was located about seven miles northwest of
Moravia,
IA. The Sales Cemetery, where several of the family are buried, is
located on
the southeast corner of the farm. After Nancy died leaving John with
several
small children to raise, he remarried Mrs. Sarah Arthian. She helped
raise the
children to adulthood, and was still living when he died in 1900.per

Word has been received in Moravia of thedeath of Mrs. Sarah Millemon of
near Danville, IL., which occurred Tuesday night, January 8th. (no year).
An attack of the flu is given as the cause of her death. At the time of
her demise she was 92 years, 9 months and 3 days.
Mrs. Millemon was formerly a resident of this community, leaving here
some 18 or 19 years ago. Relatives in this vicinity include a step-son J.
H. Millemonand a sister, Mrs. Julia Wood. Her husband preceded her in
death twenty-nineyears ago
