Allen was born October 22, 1903, near Wheaton wherehe spent most of his early life on the farm with his parents, George and Lula Allen. On October 21, 1925 he was united in holy wedlock with Miss Eva Mi ser, of Onaga, Kansas, at Westmoreland, Kansas. This union was blessed with two children; a son, George, who preceded his father in death in 1941; and a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Grafton of Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Allen was baptize d inthe Methodist church in Onaga. On May 21, 1950, he was confirmed by the Rev.J. A. E. Bauer and received into St. Paul's Lutheran Church membership. Sincethat time he held membership in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Duluth, Kan sas. As an employee of the Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years, he and his wife have been residents of Pottawatomie County most of their married life, h aving lived the past number of years at Emmett. Mr. Allen departed this life D ecember25, 1964, at St. Marys Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. At the age of 61 ye ars, 2months, and 3 days. He leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved wife, Eva of the home in Emmett, a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Grafton, Kansas City, Kans ., threegrandsons, Scott, Ross and Ned Grafton, Kansas City, Kans., two brot hers, Floyd (Allen) ward, Danville, Ill., and Lloyd Allen, Phillipsburg, Kans as., three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Gough, Silver Springs, Md., Mrs. Mae Exler, Laramie,Wyo., and Mrs. Lorraine Basham, Los Angeles, Calif.; three aunts, M rs. Alfred(Esther) Junod and Mrs. Minnie Davin., Onaga, and Mrs. Lillie OKe efe, Topeka, and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Charles Mc Geeney, James Flanagan, Evan Kolterman, Dale Lefebvre, Vic Perez and Raymond Zabel. Those from out-of-town who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. John Miser,Rawlins, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Allen, Wanda, Charles and Georg ie, Phillipsburg, Kans; Mrs. And Mrs. W. R.
