Allen was born October 22, 1903, near Wheaton wherehe spent most of his early life on the farm with his parents, George and Lula Allen. On October 21, 1925 he was united in holy wedlock with Miss Eva Mi ser, of Onaga, Kansas, at Westmoreland, Kansas. This union was blessed with two children; a son, George, who preceded his father in death in 1941; and a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Grafton of Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Allen was baptize d inthe Methodist church in Onaga. On May 21, 1950, he was confirmed by the Rev.J. A. E. Bauer and received into St. Paul's Lutheran Church membership. Sincethat time he held membership in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Duluth, Kan sas. As an employee of the Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years, he and his wife have been residents of Pottawatomie County most of their married life, h aving lived the past number of years at Emmett. Mr. Allen departed this life D ecember25, 1964, at St. Marys Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. At the age of 61 ye ars, 2months, and 3 days. He leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved wife, Eva of the home in Emmett, a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Grafton, Kansas City, Kans ., threegrandsons, Scott, Ross and Ned Grafton, Kansas City, Kans., two brot hers, Floyd (Allen) ward, Danville, Ill., and Lloyd Allen, Phillipsburg, Kans as., three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Gough, Silver Springs, Md., Mrs. Mae Exler, Laramie,Wyo., and Mrs. Lorraine Basham, Los Angeles, Calif.; three aunts, M rs. Alfred(Esther) Junod and Mrs. Minnie Davin., Onaga, and Mrs. Lillie OKe efe, Topeka, and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Charles Mc Geeney, James Flanagan, Evan Kolterman, Dale Lefebvre, Vic Perez and Raymond Zabel. ALLEN, EVA FRANCES MRS. (1987) [www.freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~onagakansas] 7-28-02 EMMETT Mrs. Eva Frances Allen, 79, Emmett, died Thursday, March 5, at her home. Mrs. Allen was a Stanley Home Products dealer more than 30 years. She was born May 23, 1907, in Centralia, a daughter of J. S. and Mary McIntyre Miser. She attended rural schools in several Kansas communities. Mrs. Allen was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Duluth. She was mar ried to Charles Allen of Wheaton on Oct. 31, 1925. He died Dec. 25, 1964. A s on, George, B. Allen, died in 1941. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Grafton, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Conaway, Holton, and Mrs . Dorothy Andrick, Onaga; a brother, John Miser, Rawlins, Wyo., three grandso ns,and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Pa uls Lutheran Church in Duluth. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery nort heast of Wheaton. Mrs. Allen will lie in state until noon Sunday at Tessendor f Mortuary in Onaga and from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday at the church. The family willmeet with friends from 7:30 until 9 p.m. today at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Duluth.

ALLEN, GEORGE BENJAMIN freepages.genelaogy.rootsweb.com/~onagakansas (copied7-28-02) George Benjamin Allen, son of Charles and Eva Allen was born at Onaga, Kansas November 5, 1926. Here he spent the first six years of his life and attended the Onaga Grade School. In the spring of 1933 he came with his parents to Frankfort where he has since lived. He attended the grade and JuniorHigh School completing his work with the class of 1939, and enrolled in the Frankfort High School the following September. He was a member of the Sophomo reclass at the time of his demise. For the past two years George has been a carrier of the Topeka State Journal in Frankfort, which has placed him in dir ectcontact with many of the citizens there who were his patrons and who unso licited speak of his honesty, his faithful and courteous service. George wa s ahealthy, hardy boy to whom sickness was unknown until he experienced an u nfortunate accident which with complications resulted in his death at Christs hospital in Topeka on Sept. 24, 1941. He is survived by his father and mothe r andone sister Evelyn, all of the home; three grand-parents, J. S. Miser an d George B. Allen of Onaga, and Mrs. Jim Richardson, Phillipsburg; also his g reat-grandmother, Mrs. L. F. McIntyre of Kansas City, Mo.; also a number of a unts,uncles, and other relatives and many friends who sympathize with the be reaved family and mourn his untimely departure. Funeral services were held a t theOelkers Funeral Chapel in Frankfort, Friday with Rev. O. J. McCulloh of ficiating. The music was in charge of Miss Drusilla Beadle of the High School and the boys sang "In the Garden" and "Sometime Well Understand". Pallbeare rs were Georges boy friends: Gerald Mosher, David Jones, Harold Pittenger, T ell Perrelet, Roy Osborn and Bobbie Pennington. The body was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A LLEN, GEORGE George Allen, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allen, pas sed away at Christs hospital in Topeka September 24 at 8:00 a.m. While play ing withschoolmates in the park last Thursday evening George suffered a comp ound fracture to his left arm. Early Saturday morning when the injured arm wa s givinghim much pain, it was discovered that the wound had become seriously infectedand he was rushed to the hospital in Topeka. It was necessary to am putate hisarm and from that time on he showed improvement and was believed t o be out of danger.
