From Ye Horseford Booke -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ Timothy, who after the death of his father was the most prominent man of h is family in colonial affairs, was a proprietor ofseveral towns as Harwin ton in 1732, Torrington in 1739 and Norfolk. He finally moved to Litchfiel d, Conn., where he died in 1740/41. Timothy moved fromWindsor to Litchfield, Conn. soon after his brother Nat haniel who was at Litchfield in 1724. After the death of his father he w as said to be the most active man of the family. He was interested financi ally in several Connecticut towns as Harwinton, Norfolk, Torrington, Cornw all, and Litchfield. In 1711he supplied stores to forces of the colony se nt on an expedition against Canada. Hinman records that he received a lega cy from Sarah Sears, widow of Windsor, who died in 1689. His will, dated O ct. 21, 1740, names wife Abigail, sons Daniel "of Hebron" and Timothy, dau ghters Abigail and Hannah Dibble.Timothy Horsford was Executor. In 1739 Nathaniel, Timothy and William Horsfordwith ten others purchas ed land in Torrington, Conn. for a tannery.From Ye Horseford Booke -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ Timothy bought land in the "northern township" in 1740 andmoved with h is half-brother Daniel in 1741 to South Canaan, Conn.
