Mrs. Eva Barnes, 77, of R. 1 Okemos, died Tuesday afternoon at a local
hos pital after a long illness.
Shehad lived in Okemos and vicinity all her life and was a member of t
he Women's Pioneer Society of Okemos. Mr. and Mrs. Barnes had celebrated
t heir 60th wedding anniversary last March 16.
Surviving besides the husband, Archie, are ason, Myron W. of East Lansin
g; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Dillon of Providence, RI, and Mrs. Pearl Smi
th of Lakeland, Fla., and a brother, Fred Hoskins ofLansing.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday at Estes-Leadly Colonial
chap el, Rev. Harold Rees, of the Williamston Baptist church officiating.
Buri al will be in Rose cemetery, Clinton County.
