Frank Whisler
Frank WHISLER, 72, R.R. 2,Macy, died Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Woodlawn
hospital of a heart attack. Funeral rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in
the Sheetz funeral home at Akron with the Revs. Harold CONRAD and Ronald
HARSHMAN officiating. Burial will be inGreenlawn cemetery at Mexico.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
Born Oct. 13, 1888, in Perry township of Miami county, he had spent his
lifetime in the Macy community. His marriage was April 8, 1914, at Denver
to Alma BERGER,who survives. A retired farmer, Mr. Whisler was the son
of Henry and Ellen MURPHY WHISLER. He was a member of the Emanuel church.
Surviving, besides the wife, are three daghters, Mrs. Maurice (Willadean)
HELVEY, Akron; Mrs. Otho (Norma) BRYLE, Babson Park, Fla., and Mrs.
[Nobert] (Phyllis) FOOR, South Bend;eight grandchildren; one
great-grandchild, and one brother, Albert WHISLER, Twelve Mile. Three
brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Mrs. Alma WHISTLER, 80, Akron, died at 7:10 p.m. Sunday in the National
nursing home. She had been a patient five days and ill four years.
Born Sept. 19, 1890, in Miami county, she was the daughter of Henry and
Viola BUTT BERGER. Her marriage was in 1914, to FrankWHISTLER. He
preceded in death in 1961. She had resided in the Akron area five years.
She was a member of the Emanual United Methodist church and the WSCS.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Willadean) HELVEY, Akron;
Mrs. Otho (Norma) BRY, LaOtto, Ind.; Mrs. Phyllis FOOR, Galion, O.; eight
grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Fayne (Edna)
FLENNER, R.R. 2, Macy. One brother and two sisters preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Sheetz funeral home in
Akron. The Rev. ClaudeFAWNS will officiate. Burial will be in the
Greenlawn cemetery at Kokomo. Friends may call at the funeral home after
