Guy Walter POPE

                   Walter Irving (9) Pope was the second child a son of Walter Guy Pope
(8) and Elizabeth Emily La Point Pope.
Walter Irving graduated from the Lind Grade School.  After
graduation he spent several years as a truck driver for Wallawalla
Creamery in Lind Center, hauling the cream.
Walter Irving (9) Pope marriedCora Powers on December 13, 1916 in
Lind, Wisconsin.    From this marriage t here were three children born.
1.)   Horace Earl (10) Pope born October 28, 1917 in Wausau,
Wisconsin
2.)   Mayme Eleanor (10) Pope born May 17, 1919 in Wausau, Wisconsin
3.)   June Elizabeth (10) Pope born June 16, 1922 in Harrison,
Wisconsin
Cora and Walter Irving Pope had the distinction of being marriedin
the same house that Walter Irving Pope was born in.
Cora Powers was at the time living on the farm where Walter was born.
                  

                   Ruth Ethel (9) Pope was the third child a daughter of Walter Guy
Pope (8) andElizabeth Emily La Point Pope.
Again like most other Pope family members Ruthwas educated at Lind
Center Schools, attending Lind State Grades School and graduating from
Waupaca High School in 1912.
After high school graduation sh etaught school at Pine Lake,
Waushara County, Wisconsin.
Ruth was also a pr actical nurse, who was often called upon by the
towns people to aid in illnes s,birth or death.
Ruth Ethel (9) Pope married Donald Barrington (of Crystal L ake,
Wisconsin) on August 7, 1913 in Crystal Lake, Wisconsin. From this
mar riage there were six children born.

in Crystal Lake, Wisconsin
2.)   Amy Carol (10 Po pe) Barrington, born January 17, 1916 in
Harrison, Wisconsin

After their marriage they resided in Crystal Lake for a number of
years be foretraveling to Northland, Wisconsin to leave.  Ruth and Donald
lived in No rthland for a number of years before returning to Waupaca, and
then to Lind w herethey were still residing in 1938.  Here in Lind, Ruth
became a officer o f thePomona Grange.
                  

                   Grace (9) Pope was the fourth child a daughter of Walter Guy Pope
(8) and Elizabeth Emily La Point Pope.
Grace attended the State Graded School and then Waupaca High School
for three years while studying music on the side.  Grace isa gifted
handicraft artists, expert in making hooked rugs and handiwork.  Served
as president of the Pope Family Association and is present vice president
of this organization.
Grace (9) Pope married Earle Potter (the son of Harry and Sophia
Potter) on September 3, 1916 in Weyauwega, Wisconsin.  From thisunion in
marriage there were five births.

2.)   Frances Elise (10 Pope) Potter b orn October 20, 1918 in Lind,

After their marriage they lived on theold Potter Farm for there

Stuart Neville (9) Pope was the fifth child a son of Walter Guy Pope
(8) and Elizabeth Emily La Point Pope.
Stuart Neville attend the Lind State Grade School until the eight
grade.  He did not go to high school and decided to opt out for a
corresponde nce course instead studying Veterinary Science and Taxidermy.
Stuart purchasedfrom his father the original Pope homestead and
started a highly successful dairy and truck farm.  He had vast dairy and
truck farm routes which supplied most of the dairy products and
vegetables to the residents of Waupaca on a d aily business
Stuart Neville (9) Pope married Mary Heaney  on November 5, 19 24 in
Waukegan, Wisconsin.  From this marriage there were two children.
1.) JaneLouise (10) Pope born August 2, 1925 in Waupaca, Wisconsin
2.)   John P ierce(10) Pope born May 18, 1927 in Lind, Wisconsin
Later the marriage ended in divorce.
                  

                   Dorothy Carleton (9) Pope was the sixth child a daughter of Walter
Guy Pope (8) and Elizabeth Emily La Point Pope.
Attended the Lind schools and attendingWaupaca High School for two
years.
Dorothy's attributes were music and excellent singing voice.
Dorothy Carleton (9) Pope married Sam Sorensen on  March 15, 1919 in
Lind, Wisconsin.  From this marriage there were two children.
1.)Melford Neville (10 Pope) Sorensen born April 4, 1921 in Lind,
Wisconsin
2.)Merwin Orvia (10 Pope) Sorensen born July 16, 1923 in Lind,
Wisconsin
After their marriage they residing on the Sorensen Farm for her life.

Charles Arthur (9)Pope was the first child a son of Walter Guy Pope
(8) and Elizabeth Emily LaPoint Pope.
Charles Arthur attended the Lind Grade school until the age of 13
years finishing the eighth grade.  He then was educated in Business
Colleg efor two years.
Charles Arthur (9) Pope married Jennie Davidson (born May 11,1893
in Little Wolf, Wisconsin) on July 10, 1912.  From this marriage there
were 6 children born.

2.)   Clare Arthur (10) Pope born December 8, 1914 in Harrison,

After their marriage thee built a home in Harrison township on the
land owned by his grandfather, Nathaniel (7) Pope.
During his life he was employed at a local creamery and cheese
manufacturer as a secretary for several years.  Then moving to Lind,
Wisconsinwhen as of June 1938 he is still working in farming and runs a
small saw mill.  When not busy working Charles enjoyed playing the
sports, especially baseball which he excelled in.
