Charles Lincoln Pope (8) is the third child a son of Nathaniel (7)
Pope and Eliza Jane Loomis Pope.
He like most other Pope family members went to Lind Center schools.
At the age of nineteen years he married.
Ch arles Lincoln (8) Pope married  Lucy Elizabeth Redfield  on June
16, 1879.F rom this marriage there were two offsprings:
1.)   Nathaniel Joel Pope (9) born September 11, 1882
2.)   Phillip Lee Pope (9)  born December 06, 1884
After Charles and Lucy's marriage they moved in the Nathaniel and
Eliza Jane Popefor one year.  Then purchased the Glover place and built
a home.

POPE - On Saturday, March 27, 1886.  Charles Lincoln Pope died of
pneumonia at his home
in Lind.  He was twenty-six years of age.  "Doll" was well liked by
al l who knew him; he was
the son of Nathaniel Pope, the present chairman of the townof
Lind.  He leaves his wife and
two children, who with his parents an d thewhole community will
deeply mourn his loss.  The
funeral was held on S unday, the Rev. Mr. Nelson of Parfreyville
preaching the funeral sermon.
The remains were buried in the cemetery at Lind Center.

14, 1860 in Lind, Wisconsin the son of Nathaniel (7) Pope and Eliza Jane

Nathaniel Joel Pope (9) is the first child a son of Charles Lincoln
Pope (8) and Lucy Redfield Pope.
Nathaniel was born September 11, 1882 in Lind, Waupaca County,
Wisconsin.  He like most other Pope family members was educated thru the
Lind Center School District.  Other educations that Nathaniel has was a
Dairy Management study thru the University of Wisconsin.
Nathaniel Joel (9) Pope married Cora Georgana Kenda ll (born April
10, 1880 to Myron and Sarah Jones Kendall).  From this unioni n marriage
there was one off spring.
1.)   Keith Howard (10) Pope born Augus t 6, 1909, died September 17,
1910
Nathaniel using his education in Dairy Ma nagement procured a job as
farm manager until 1933, when he had to return toLind, Wisconsin to take
care of his ailing mother Lucy Redfield Pope until her death in 1935.

                   Philip Lee Pope (9) is the second child a son of Charles Lincoln
Pope (8) andLucy Redfield Pope.
Phillip was born December 6, 1884 at Lind, Wisconsin.  Hewent the
the public schools, but his educations was cut short after 8 years when
he went to work on the family farm.
Phillip Lee (9) Pope met and marrie dMay Belle Mitchell (born
Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County, New York) on Apri l11, 1907.  This union
in marriage produced three off springs:
1.)   Jenny Beryle (10) Pope, born Iola, Wisconsin on October 2, 1912
2.)   Lee Mitchell P ope (10), born Lind, Wisconsin on November 16,
1914
3.)   Adeline Elizabeth (10) Pope, born Lind, Wisconsin on August 8,
1916
**from the book of Pioneer Popes the following interesting note:
It is interesting to note that here is thetenth generation is
another Mitchell Pope, a direct descendant of Mitchel l Pope (5).  The
marriage of May Belle Mitchell and Philip Lee Pope (9) is th e fourth time
the Popes have married into the Mitchell family.
In 1920 Phil lip and May Belle moved to Royalton, Wisconsin, and he
procured a job for the thenGreen Bay Railroad.  June 1938 he was still
working for the railroad bu t in the city of Seymour, Wisconsin.
