Daniel Beaumont was an early settler of New York's Champlain region north ofPlattsburgh. He was "fanatically" Federalist (anti-Jeffersonian) according to his family. He was a Revolutionary War veteran wounded at Princeton. He was a town clerk for Champlain in 1807.
