Nancy was born in the Niles St Hospital (since demolished) She was agraduate of Hall High School,West Hartford and Pine Manor Junior College,Wellesley, Massachusetts. She was formerly employed by the United Way of Connecticut. She hadalso served as Welcome Wagon Hostess for Newington for many years. She wasa co-founder of the Newington Women's Club PM unit. She was a member andformer secretary of the College Club of Hartford. She also had belonged toThe Newington Junior Women's Club and The Newington Garden Club. She accompanied her husband and son Larry on overseas tours with theColt Firearms Company for a year each in Pusan, South Korea in 1973 and in Paranaque, Manila, Philippines in 1976. She was active in EpiscopalChurch affairs in Makati, Manila especially in serving the destitute peopleof the community who came to the Church for help. She was always active in Church and community affairs in Newington andwas completely devoted to her family.She accompanied Mac around thecountry during his training in WW II at San Antonio TX and Rapid City SD and atLangley Field VA after his return from combat duty in Europe. She lived in Simsburywith Mac's mother while he was overseas and then shared a house in Simsburywith his sister Betty until his return. After the war she helped put Mac through college (U of Georgia) byworking as secretary to the head of the business departmen t(Will T. Hicks) whilecaring for husband, house and Maryanne and Tom and giving birth to Bill. .
