Buried on the farm which he bought in Pittstown. See biography in EddyFamily book (1930), page 148 and also note for Mercie. It is stated in theEddy Book that during the Revolutionary War he owned several privateers, whichgreatly assisted the American cause.
Buried on farm in Pittstown which Devotion bought. Also may have beencalled Marcella Sherman. Betty and Dana and Mac visited the gravesite on the farm presentlyowned by Betty Matzen and her husband in Haynerville, just over the town linein Pittstown in July 1994. We read it Sep 29,1834. Gertrude says tombstone record shows Mercie was born 1729 and diedSept 27 1834.

The record for Olive Wells marriage to Luther Eddy in Pownal Vermontonly mentions a Mister Eddy The age difference between Olive andLuther(born 1776) seems to be too great. Further research is necessary, beginning with appropriate censusrecords and then land transactions. CD ROM at Connecticut Genealogical Society,East Hartford, JAN 1995 gives Luther Eddy of Brunswick, Rensalaer County,New York on 1850 census- page 077. Also a Luther D Eddy page 081.
