Samuel and Mary Brown, set up housekeeping in the old black-smithhouse, which
stood on the north-east corner of the old Eleven o'clock road, and thelower
Weston road, which comes down into the north western corner ofFairfield. This
road came down to and crossed the Easton-Westport Turnpike. This house
originally an old black-smith shop owned by Mary's grandfather JabezThorp,
and stood on the opposite north-west corner.
Ill with inflammation of the lungs, died in her sleep, at the home ofher
daughter Ann Maria Lockwood, who resided on Fairfield Ave.,Bridgeport, Conn.
