Gerald R. Applegate, 22, Route 2, Fordland, died instantly about 5 o'clock Monday afternoon, in a one-car crash between Oldfield and Sparta on Highway 125. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Harris Funeral Chapel at Ozark, with Dwayne Bray officiating. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery near Bruner. Applegate is survived by his wife, Rosemary, and two daughters, Juanita Marie and Barbara, of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Applegate, of Bruner; two brothers, Keith and O.A. Applegate, of the parents' home; four sisters, Mrs. Glenda Kay Trigg of Texas, Wilda Carole, Katheryn and Loretta, all of the parents' home; and his paternal grandparents, O. Applegate of Doyleville.
