Funeral services for John A. Burkhart, 84, who died Sunday, June 27, were conducted Wednesday, June 30, at the Sparta Baptist Church with the Rev. Meadows officiating. Burial was in the Sparta Cemetery under direction of the Chaffin Funeral Home of Ozark. He joined the Baptist Church at an early age and had been an active member of the Sparta Baptist Church for many years. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice of the home; one son, Leslie Burkhart of Springfield; five daughters, Mrs. Belle Bragg of Springfield; Mrs. Della Adams of Livingston, Mont. Mrs. Grace Rory of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Mazie Davis of Springfield; and Mrs. Kathy Barnard of Albuquerque, N. M.; one brother, Newton Burkhart of Chadwick; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Brazel of Elkhead and Mrs. Bethina Hull of Oldfield; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends. 1 _TITLE OBIT
