Sarah was a much sought after mid-wife in the hill country around Protem and had a "record of never having lost a mother or a baby". 1 _TITLE Notes
Sarah was visiting Thomas's nephew, Perry Todd, of rural Rogersville, Missouri in 1912. She became ill with pneumonia and died there March 1, 1912. There were several inches of snow on the ground. Her sons, Dick and Jacob, came in a wagon and took her body back to Protem for burial. 1 _TITLE Death
