William Hieb Kills Self by Strangulation
William Hieb, 71, well known farmer living two miles southwest of Kalispell on the foothil ls road was found strangled to death early this morning in his bedroom where he had loope d a stout cord over a closet and slumped into a chair.  The body was found by a son, Edward , who was living with his father.
Mr. Hieb had been in ill health for several years, it was stated, Coroner Campbell said th at Mr. Hieb evidently committed the act about 11:30 o'clock last night after other living wit h him had retired.
He is survived by six children, three sons, Edward and Arthur Hieb of Kalispell, and Gottl ieb Hieb of Harvey, North Dakota; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Beatty of Kalispell, Mrs. Cat herine Siefert of Polson and Mrs. Lydia Weixel of Eureka, South Dakota.  His wife died here D ecember 2, 1936.  Mr. Hieb was born in Russia.
