                   He was the younger brother of Sir Robert de Harington, Knight.
In September, 1352 Henry, Duke of Lancaster, granted to John de
Harington of Farleton a lease of the manor of Hornby.  He also
held manors of Bolton-le-Moors, Chorely and Aighton.  In 1358 he
went to London in the King's service.
