I finally got up to Kansas to check on Frances Beaumont, daughter of Mary Hicks and Aurelias Beaumont. This is what I found. There was a typewritten account, bio if you will, of some of the events in the life of Arthur Havens, the husband of Frances. His timeline is as follows:
1856 Elmira, NY
1860 Janesville, Wis.
1861 Mineral Pt., Wis.
1862 Leavenworth, KS.
The only comment he made about his a 1-1/2 year courtship with Frances is that they were married in Janesville, Wis. He also stated that their oldest son Paul died 10 days after their arrival in Leavenworth. I had previously found a death for an infant AB Havens, Jr of Horican, Wis., so this must be a recording error by someone.
So, what I gather from this is that there is absolutely no correlation between Wisconsin and Minnesota as far as Mary Hicks Beaumont is concerned. I think Frances may have been in Wisconsin after her father died and living with an uncle Samuel Beaumont, that was also from Champlain, NY. I think that Mary died in Hennepin living with another daughter as we had previously speculated. Frances and Arthur were taking care of his mother, so both would have been quite a burden.
FWIW, I did find a picture of Frances in her later years, but I do not have a copy of it yet. The University of Kansas is in the process of making some copies of the info
