John MOORE
Will There is uncertainty about when John Moore arrived in New England. He was a Sudbury proprietor in 1640 and bought land there in 1642. He mat have been the John Moore aged 24 who sailed on the Planter from London 10 April 1635 and arrived in Boston 7 June 1635. His first five children were recorded at Sudbury. His will was dated 25 August 1668 and probated 7 April 1674. In it John Moore mentioned wife Elizabeth; eldest son John of Lancaster; eldest daughter Elizabeth, wife of Henry Rice; daughter Mary, wife of Daniel Stone; youngest daughter Lydia, wife of James Cutler (her former husband, Samuel Wright, is also mentioned); sons William Jacob, Joseph and Benjamin.
He married second Ruth (-?-) who was not provided for in Joseph's will.
