Farmer and Vetinaery Surgeon Section 4, PO Haven, Tama County, Iowa. After receiving his educ ation he engaged in farming until 1855, when he moved to Wisconsin and there continued to far m until 1863. when he moved to Iowa and settled in Winneshiek county and again engaged in far ming until 1867, when he moved to Tama County and again farmed for 2 years; then he came to M adison where he owned 97 acres of well-improved land. His wife was 16 when they married.
