Jefferson is often called the author of the Declaration ofIndependence. It has become clear, in the light of history and muchfurther research, that he more accurately only edited a version ofthat same document that he discovered was the governing rule among thenorth American Woodlands People (Indians). The language of theseearlier Native American declarations was, in fact, virtually andalmost seamlessly the same. (JFN,1998).
