James OGLE
The News-Sentinel Tuesday, April 1, 1930 James OGLE, age 84, well known civilwar veteran, passed away at the home of his son, Bruce [OGLE], in Five Corners neighborhood, southwest of Macy, Monday evening at 6:45 o'clock. Mr. Oglehad been seriously ill for the past two weeks suffering from complications incident to old age. James, son of John and Catherine (WILKINSON) OGLE, was bornon a farm near Macy May 14, 1846. He spent all his life with the exception of a few years in Peru, in the Macy community. Fifty-four years ago he was united in marriage to Jeanette CARVEY. Mr. Ogle was a member of the Macy M.E. church and the G.A.R. Survivors are one son, Bruce [OGLE], one grandson, fivegranddaughters and eight great-grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at the Macy Methodist churchThursday afternoon at 1 o'clock

Rochester Sentinel Tuesday, April 10, 1984 Willis J. Ogle Sr. Willis J. OGLESr., 80, Denver, died at 9:15 a.m. Monday in Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. He was born Oct. 31, 1903 in Chili to William and Nellie SCHBAUGH OGLE. Hewas married July 5, 1924 in Oak Park, Ill. to Lillian C. SCHROEDER, who survives. He was a retired postal employee at Oak Park Ill., and a 10-year employee at the Olin Corporation at Peru, retiring in 1974. Surviving with the wifeare two sons, Willis J. [OGLE] Jr, Denver, and Eugene H. [OGLE], Torrence, Calif; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and three half-brothers, Walter WILHELM, Peru; Charles WILHELM, Gilead, and Robert WILHELM Logansport. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the McCain Funeral Home, Denver, with the Rev. Mary KENZORA officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery,Macy. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
