A. E. Wunderlich Dies, Leaves 76 Descendants
Funeral Services for Adam Ernest Wunderlich, 89, were held Tuesday at 2
pm in the Gompf-Cutler Chapel with Rev Warren Pomeroy of Eureka
officiating.  Internment was made in thefamily plot of the City
Cemetary.
Wunderlich, of 3322 Broadway, Everett, Washington, died at his home
Friday morning.  He was born June 25, 1871, in Stevensville, Wisconsin
and had been a resident of Everett since 1946.  He cameto the Libby area
about 1924 and resided here until he moved to Everett.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs Jessie Van Horn, Eureka; Mrs Viola
Fox,Everett, Wash.; and Mrs Myrtle Carvey, Eureka MT; one son, Ernest,
Rexford,MT; one sister, Mrs Clara Fellows, Riverhurst, Sask., Canada; 25
grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

I came to Shelby April 18th 1921 with Grandpa Jacob and my threeboys on
train #1.  We left Brainerd, MN., April 15, Jim and papa took us to the
depot, stayed with my Aunt Bessie Messler awhile and then with Guy and
Hennery Jacob's family my cousin, John Carl Shellin was there to.  Jim
came amonth later.  We all worked for Ben L? awhile then Jim went to the
Johnson ranch to work, and Grandpa J and I move on our place July 5th,
1921.  John gemmings (sp?) old Homestead. Jim went to Judith Basin to
work, Grandpa and I move to Ethridge Sept 25.  Jim came home worked for
Hennery Jacob and for AdrinLions.  Jim and Carl came to Trego Dec 1st
1921.  My self and children came Jan 23 1922.  Jim worked in the woods
and then on the drive.

Trego, Montana.  The trip took a total of nine days)
Stayed untilSept last. Mama and Papa came to see us, drove out in a
car. Ford T. August13th.  I went to Columbia Falls with them and took No
2 (train) to Shelby, meet Bob Johnson a sailor I went to school with.
Walk home from Shelby to AuntBessie's place 4 1/2 miles in the mud a
front dup (sp?) got my pony, Jim andwent to Shelby for my suitcase
again.  Then to Syphers and stayed all nightto Cut Band (Cut Bank) all
night Browning, next night Summit, next night Essex, next night Nyack,
next night Coram, next night Whitefish, next night Dickey Lake, next
night home Trego.  It was a long and beautiful ride through Glacier Park
on horseback.  Had some thrills too.... a cloud burst, seen two bears,
heard a lion ball (bawl), road (rode) the High Bridge at Java the tunnel
1 1/4 miles at payala lost the trail at Gorpy (sp?) and forded the
FlatheadRiver and then back after the storm and it sure was wild.  Lost
Trail walk ontrack lookin for it, crossed a RR tunnel about 30 ft long,
when 1/2 way across, felt my horses breath on my heels.  that was a chill
as no cover only bare ties, but he put his head down and stepped right on
the ties front feet then put hind feet in same place. (here ends the

Born to Ida and Adam Wunderlich May 10, 1905 at Platte Lake, Minnesota.
She married Floyd Carvey in Brainerd, Minn Dec 27, 1919.  They moved to
Montana in 1923where they lived in Libby for a number of years; moving
to Eureka in 1943 where Floyd passed away in 1958.  She remained in
Eureka, later marrying LouiseRoe Jan 6, 1976.  She was preceeded in
death by her mother and father, on sister Jessie Van Horn, Eureka; and
one brother Ernest Wunderlich, Rexford.  She leave her husband Louise
Roe; one sister, Inez Fox, Lake Stevens, Washington; 6 sons; Nick, Beryl,
Tog, Steve, Lorn, all of Eureka; and Clyde of Reno, Nevada; 5 daughters;
Melba Cain, Libby; Lois Workman, Eureka; Delores Keller,Eureka, Ida
Hoerner, Columbia Falls; Yvonne Paine, Eureka.  She had 46 Grandchildren,
64 Great Grandchildren, and an number of nieces and nephews.  Memorial
Services will be Thurs at 2 pm at the Babtist Church in Eureka.  Burial
will be in the Eureka Cemetary.
