Charles W. Seigfried was born Jan. 7, 1885 in Hopkins, Mo. He was the son
of Lewis Milton Seigfried and Emily May Seigfried.
He was united in marriage with Goldie May Jones, Jan. 1, 1911, at Knapp,
Wis. They had one daughter, Mrs. Eugene Cleveland (Lillian) and one
granddaughter, Sandra Kay Cleveland. Mr. and Mrs. Seigfried made their
home in Austin since their marriage. Charles W. Seigfried started as a
fireman for the ChicagoMilwaukee and St. Paul railroad in 1909, and was
promoted to an engineer in 1915. He was a retired engineer at the time of
his death. He belonged to the Order of B of LE and was a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter DaySaints. Besides his wife, daughter
and granddaughter, he is surived by his son-in-law, Eugene Cleveland,
Grand Forks, N.D.; two brothers, Sam of Austin, and Bryan and three
sisters, Mrs. A.Stoub (Luella), Wanakok, Hamberg, N.Y., Mrs. Frank Bollin
(May), Hamilton, Ill., Mrs. Gordon Mason (Bertha), Toledo, Iowa; and many
nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Mr. Seigfried will greatly
missed by his family and friends. He wa a devoted husband and father. He
passed away Feb. 11. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday,
Feb,14at the Jordan chapel with interment in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

1893 Goldie Siegfried 1959
Goldie May Siegfried, daughter of Benjemann and Rhoda Carvey Jones,was
born in Windom, Minn Aug. 3, 1893, and passed away at St. Olaf Hospital,
Austin, March 16, 1959.
Mrs. Siegfried suffered a stroke in November, 1947and has been in
failing health since that time.
She was united in marriagewith Charles William Siegfried, Jan. 1, 1911,
at Knapp, Wis. and lived in Austin the past 50 years. Mr. Siegfried, who
was an engineer on the Milwaukee Road, passed away in 1952.
Mrs. Siegfried was a member of the GIA of the Brotherhood of Locomotive
Engineers, the Degree of Honor, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints.
She is survived by her daugher, Lillian, Mrs. Eugene Cleveland, Hanover,
Minn; a sister, Mrs. Henry Baler, Lillie, Spooner, Wis.; several nieces
and nephews.
Services were held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at the Jordan
Mortuary Chapel, Elder Edwin Peterson, Oakland, officiating. Interment
was at Grandview memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Arthur Sucha, William
C. Jeffers, Edward Jeffers, O.C. Peed, Chris J. Hanson, Peter Pauley.
Mrs. Ralph Hoeper was soloist.
