"Sam" Samuel HELLENGA

                   Mrs. Anna E. Hellenga Hopkins - 8190 West C Ave., Formerly of Allegan,
passedaway Monday morning, Sept. 13, 1976, at the Alamo Nursing Home.
Mrs. Hopkinswas born Oct. 20, 1892, in Pella, Iowa, daughter of Rev. and
Mrs. F. Klooster and had been a resident of Allegan for 47 years prior to
1969. She was a member of the First Reformed Church. Surviving are 2
children, Mrs. Maynard (Bertha) Woudwyk of Grand Rapids and Frederick E.
Hellenga of Kalamazoo; 9 step-children, Neil Hopkins, Allegan, Donald
Hopkins, Kalkaska, John Hopkins, Lansing, Mrs. Elihu (Hazel) Root,
Galesburg, Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Morse, Kalamazoo, Robert Hopkins,
Waterford, Guy Hopkins, Kalamazoo, Mrs. Clare (Marie) Brady, climax, Mrs.
Edward (Mary June) VanHout, Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren; many
step-grandchildren; one brother, Alex Klooster of Oakridge, Tenn.; 2
sisters, Mrs. Deana Kots of Orange City, Iowa and Mrs. Muriel Perry of
Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Hellenga
in 1944 a nd Robert Hopkins in 1968, and a step-son, Ned Hopkins in 1970.
The family will receive friends at the Allegan Chapel, Gorden Funeral
Residence from 7 to 9 Monday and Tuesday evenings, and where services
will be held Wednesday at 1 o'clock, Rev. John Zwyghuizen officiating.
Graveside services in Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks. Those who desire,
may make memorial contributions to the First Reformed Church Building
