Rebaptized: 31 Mar 1964 by Rolands Wright EH #2347 Book F p. 208 Heber Thomas Oakey, was one of 10 children. Two of his siblings died as infants. Heber Thomas, his 7 siblings and parents left England and emmigrated to America in 1856. They had been converted after hearing the testimonies of Wilford Woodruff and John Taylor. They were members of the ill-fated Willie Handcart Company. The severe winter claimed many lives. The night before entering the valley death called again and took Heber's 11 year old sister Rhoda.
Married: John Fowler, Heber Thomas Oakey, Joseph Alexander Foden Had four children by John Fowler divorced moved to Bennington - see group sheet Had four children by Heber Thomas Oakey - see group sheet After Heber died she moved to Montpelier, Idaho. She ran a boarding house and cooked for the men working on the railroad. She met Joseph Alexander Foden and they were married but never had children.
Ethel was baptized by Ole Peterson and confirmed by A. Van Norman at Bennington, Idaho. Fire destroyed the records. Proxy work done in Salt Lake Temple.

He married Amelia Farley 11 Feb 1885 at Logan, Cache, Utah . Amelia Farley was born at Ogden, Weber, Utah 6 Aug 1856 daughter of Winthrop Farley and Mary Ellen Reed .
