Also in lit of men raised to reinforce theContinental Army for the term of 6 months at age 18, stature 5 ft. 5 in.complexion ruddy, engaged for town of Marlborough, marched to camp July13, 1780 under command of Capt Thomas Pritchard. Discharged Jan 13,1781.
After the war he married Martha Barnes and moved to St. Albans, Vermont about 1798. On"grand list" from 1803 to 1808. On the 2nd of Dec. 1793he mortgaged to his uncle Jonathan, an undivided half of 70 acres of landwith house andfarm Thereon, in the eastern part ofMarlborough. (My research showed a William Weeks who died in Tisbury married a MarthaBarnes born May 9 1766 in Malborough Mass whose father was Daniel BarnesJr. The History of Malborough is a better source than any on the people who lived there, so we are accepting that the Martha Barnes who married William Weeks was the daughter of Edward Barnes and Submit Forbush.)
