The passenger book for the "Mary and John" lists Amiel Weeks marryingAbigail Trescott. pg. 21. Abigail is the daughter of Elizabeth Dyer andWilliam Trescott. Elizabeth is the daughter of George Dyer and Abigailwho are listed in Bold print (probablypassengers) The History of Marlborough lists Supply Weeks as the first person namedWeeks in Marlborough and as the son of Amiel and Abigail Trescott Weeksof Dorchester. This can't be right. My previous work with no sources lists Amiel as having been born inSeaton and Beer, Devon, England 6 Nov 1631 and died 29 Apr 1679 inDorchester, Mass. Ammiel's son Ammiel may have married AbigailTrescott. MORE RESEARCH NEEDED - Who was Abigail Trescott marriedto? Genealogy of the Family of George Weekes G7019 Carlsbad #2page 69 Ammiel was born in England in 1633 and was admitted to the church inDorchester with his wife Elizabeth May 18, 1656 and was made free andtook his oath the May 6, 1657. The earliest mention in the townrecords of his holding land is in 1657. He was a constable in 1673againin 1674 and 1678; he held other positions of trust at differenttimes.It would appear from the inventory of his estate that he inheritedthe profession of land surveyor from his father. Made freemn 06 May1657 When he died aged 46, his wife Elizabeth was administrator of hisestate. The gravetones of Ammiel and his wife now standing in the southwest partof the old graveyard in Stoughton street near Upham's corner, Dorchester.A tract including "Weekes Hill agianst which Thomas Davenport's landabutted is supposed to have belonged toAmmiel. The location of the land of Ammiel Weekes has not been ascertained.Atract including "weekes' Hill next to Thomas Davenport's land issupposed to have belonged to Ammiel. Another source says Ammiel died 20 Mar 1679 and was born 1633. Dying atage 46 years makes more sense. Buried in Dorchester MA on SW ptofGraveyard on Stoughton Street , near Upham's corner. Admitted tochurchin Dorchester with wife 18 May 1656. Constable 1673; one ofcommission to run town line in 1673, 1674 and 1678. Elizabeth was the first child names Elizabeth, recorded as born inBoston, although no the first child bornthere. Amiel Weeks served on the Annapolis Royal expedition in 1710(Massachusetts Officers and Soldiers 1702-1722 Queen Anne's War toDummer's War (1980) Also listed in Massachusetts Officers and Soldiers in theSeventeenth-Century Conflicts.

He was in Worcester in 1685and 86 andJan 4 he and his wife Joan sold land in Worcester to Isaac Bull and wentto Enfield (was in Mass but now in Conn) He was one of the company whomade a settlement at Northfield, taking the home-lot and meadoworiginally set off to Eleazaer Warner who had forfeited his claim.In1688 he appears to have held a lot of about 7 acres in Wellsplain ontheeast side of and bounded west by the great river. He made a willwherehe gives all his estate to his wife. He died at Enfield. Hisinventorywas taken July 29, 1690 or 29 Aug 1960 and the will probatedSept. 30. His widow died Aug. 12,1690 No children

When baptized "being about a fortnight old" apparently an unusual delay,removed to Boston where he was "rated" in 1691. Married by Rev.PeyterThacher (about this time, ministers began to officiate atmarriages: the offices having been previously performed by themagistrates. Theestate could not be divided without great prejudice to or spoyling of thewhole" the Judge decreed that Ebenezer should take the property and payto Joseph and Supply (brothers) Elizabeth Weeks and Thankful Parker(sisters) and to Ammiel and George (nephews and sons of Ammiel Jr,deceased) 5, 16, 8 pounds each.
Served in the expedition to Canada enliting 03 Oct 1690 under CaptJohnWithington with his brothers Ammiel Weeks and Thomas Weeks. JosephandSarah admitted to church 16 Jun 1693. He was clerk of a militarycompanyin 1689; a constable in 1711. Had 9 children.
Supply Weeks, the first of the name in Marlborough, was the son of Amieland Abigail Trescott Weeks according to the History of Marlborough andpossibloy wrong and was born 26 Aug 1671. Amiel Weeks was son of Georgeand Jane, of the first settlers of Dorchester. Supply married SusannaBarnes, an adopted daughter of Deacon John Barnes and a daughter ofThomas Barnes of Marlborough. He was married as of Marlborough and hencewas in the place before that date. She died 15 Jan 1712 and he marriedMary Holland of Framingham. He died 22 Sep 1755 at age84. Farmer and Shoemaker. At the time of his birth there was a greatscarcity of provisions because of a drought; on the night of his birth avessel with supplies arrived so in commemeration of the timelyrelief,the child was named Supply. Relocated to Marlborough in1697. Baptized by Rev. Mr. Flint 31 Dec 1671. Returned to Marlboroughabout1697. Susanna his wife died Jan 15 1712 four days after the birth of heryoungest child; he then married Mary Holland, twin with Martha born Aug16, 1697. His homestead is now owned and occupied by a descendant Dea. WilliamLyman Weeks and a part of the house built by him is now standing andinuse as a part of the present dwelling. There is in the house achestmarked as elow in woord SW 1697.
