Will of Mar 4 1803 Washington Coounty Virginia Bk 2 pg 419 lists children Andrew,Joh,Wilson, David Clark md to Isabella, George Kincannon md to Anna and Mary Wan idiot.
1855 some of his children moved to Iowa and others to Daviess Missouri forming community of Madaline and started the old Scotland Church.

He owned 400 acres in Wash. Co Va. We have a 3 page letter written during warfrom him. more info in Scott book of descendants. B & D recorded off headstone in cem. Lived in N Carolina, S Carolina and then Jackson Co Tenn. They moves with pack horses 1816 to Crawford Co Ill, 1821 Sangamon Co Ill, DeWitt Co Rockcreekcem is between Waynesville and Wapella Ill-part of Samuel P Glenn farm. Some ofchildren went to Iowa, rest to Daviess Co MO
four sons were ministers. Father was Irishman
(Research):Revoluntionary War Soldier, enlisted May 1780 residing in WashingtonVirginia and serveda 12 mos as a private in Capt Dysart's Co. Also in Capt William Campbell's VA Regiment being in the Battle of King's Mounatin and Wetzell's Mills. Allowed a pension 3 Dec. 1832 in Kickapoo McLean Illinois. Bureau of Pensions letter dated March 3, 1929 signed by Winfred Scott states "I advise you that from the papers in the Revolutionary War Pesnion Claims S-32509 it appears that John Scott was born in York County PA. While residing in Washington County, VAhe enlisted May 1780 and served 12 months" Vol 41 p 112   276970;   Pension claim #S-32509
