HISTORY: Baptised into Dividing Creek Baptist Church 1765 Cumberland Co NJ with wife Ruth. Will in Cincinnati Hamilton Co OH,bk 1, pg 177 list wife Ruth and children Enos, Reuben, Robert, John, William, Elizabeth,Mary, Jedeh, and Sarah. Among 35 citizens in Bridgetown Cumberland NJ, meeting to decide what to do with ship of British tea they have confiscated. Others destroyed tea while they met1774. Organized a Baptist Church, baptized by Mr Heaton whose daughter he married. Hewas pastor from 8 Sep 1787 until his death in 1790. Also listed in court in Lincoln Co as beloved and trusty friend, Attorney to settle estate of Joseph Wilkensen. 1789 In Ohio records of pioneer families Cogress gave 1 million acres to be given to settlers who would meet certain requirements. Served in Lincoln Co Ky Militia misspelled Enous 1782 was a potter by trade. He and his father moved to Fayette KY 1785 and both bought land and so did Robert who was only 18. This land is now downtown Cincinnati OH andhe also organized with others the South Bend Baptist Church. In 1808 he was a judge and also a mill operator in Darke and Montgomery Co. Last Greenville, Darke Co where trouble with Indians continued. 11 children
