She left Ansel in Aug of 1847and he filed for divorce in Oct of 1849. Divorce was so scandless that they kept it a secret. Alice Skinner had divorce decree.
BIRTH-DEATH: tombstone McClary Cem (Coffey) Wash twp Daviess Co MO
died at son David's home. He donated the land on which McClary cemetery is
located to trustees of Daviess Co.June 18, 1880,from Coffey,heading North turn Rt on Beacon and go 2.3 miles and turn right into farm. Graveyard is located at top of hill about 2 blocks behind farm house. New tombstone replaced in 2002.He didn't want to be buried there as know one would visit his grave. (Research):Old Scotland Chruch  was orginally the Pilot Grove Christian Church and on its 100 Centenial Aug 30, 1956, it was written up in the Gallatin Democrat. Listed as founder are many of the Scott/Terry relatives namely :Martin Scott,A.J.Vinson, John McCoy, John A Brown, James Scott, Jepe McCoy, W.S. Brown, S.H.Hammond, Levi Cline, F.S. Troxel, James A Gorton, D.N. Terry, William Adams, and Ira G. Scott. Church built 1864, new built 1902 and the cemetary marks the resting place of many of their (our)families.

Ansel Terry was born at Campbell, Kentucky 10 Aug 1797. His parents were Robert Terry and Chloe Worrel.

He married Elizabeth Foster 30 Aug 1815 at Hamilton, Ohio . Elizabeth Foster was born at Pennsylvania 25 May 1798 daughter of Thomas B. Foster and Rachel Elizabeth Thomas .
