1761. At the Sept. 1752 Plymouth County Court, Deborah Tinkham,"Singlewoman" of Middleboro accused Samuel Snow, of Middleboro, of being the father of the child borne of her body on the tenth day of May last.
At the March 1756 Plymouth County Court Deborah Tinkham of Middleboro was fined for fornication. This time she did not name the father. On 1 Jan 1760, Deborah Tinkham of Middleboro sold to Ebenezer Tinkham of
Middleboro land in the 26 Men's Purchase which was laid out to her in the division of the estate of her father Samuel Tinkham deceased. Deborah acknowledged the deed 28 jul 1761. There is no Plymouth Co.probate for Deborah or further land records. Apparently, Deborah never married.

It may be interesting to see if there are records on John & Deborah Strong, assuming that this is our Deborah Tinkham.
Who was the child: Ebenezer Tinkham b 30 Dec 1756? Is this a child born to Deborah?
How are you related to Deborah? She & Samuel Snow would be my 5th great, grandparents. Keep in touch if
your find anything else and I'll do the same.
      Thanks again.

Hi Chris,
Samuel Snow and Bettie Perkins are my 4th great, grandparents. If you'll go to familysearch.org and put in Deborah Tinkham with her birth year and United States and state: Massachusetts.....data will come up and you can get the whole pedigree.....and follow it back.
       Here's some notes on Deborah:
In "Mayflower Families through Five Generations" Vol. 7 - Peter Brownby Robert S. Wakefield, F.A.S.G. , Deborah TINKHAM5 (Samuel4,Peter3,MaryBrown2, PeterBrown1) b. Middleboro 7 Sep 1728; living 28 Jul
1761. At the Sept. 1752 Plymouth County Court, Deborah Tinkham,"Singlewoman" of Middleboro accused Samuel Snow, of Middleboro, of being the father of the child borne of her body on the tenth day of May last.
If you have documentation on either Samuel, I'd be interested in hearing about it. I've been to Vermont and have visited Samuel and Bettie's grave. Their home is still there in No. Pomfret just above the old church.....
