"Martin's grandfather, Hans Henry Bushman, was probably the man given in Rupp and other writerswho have listed the Pennsylvania-Germans, as landing in Philadelphia on 19 September 1753 from the ship Leatherly. On this ship, whose master was Captain Lecky, were also Henry Bushman and Andreas Bushman, whom we presume were close relatives to Hans Henry. This ship was from Hamburg, but its last port before reaching America was Cowes, on the south coast of England.
It is presumed that the above Hans Henry is the John (English equivalent of Jans) Henry Bushman who, on 6 Nov 1764, was married in the Trinity Lutheran church in Lancaster, to Barbara Trout daughter of Wendel Trout and Magdalena Walters. In the marriage record, John Henry gave his place of birth as Mackensen in Hanoverschen, Germany. "

I have visited Lancaster Co. several times, but have not been able to find Abraham and Esther's graves. In the Lancaster County Historical Society Library, I found a reference that says that Abraham was buried in a Herr cemetery, but there are several cemeterys that have the name Herr in it. At the LCHSL, they have books listing gravestones in the county. I have searched these extensively and could not find Abraham or Esther listed.
Lancaster County is a beautiful area.
I am sorry that I can't be of more help. My memory (which is not always what I would like it to be) tells me that sometime in my youth, I saw a picture of Abraham and Esther's gravestone that my mother Adele Bushman Westover had. But I can't find anyone else that remembers having see it.
