1993 in answer to my letter....he stated that Mary "Polly" Birgit was married
To Jeremiah Youngblood in Johnston Co.,N..Carolina. I do not know his source,but this is a discrepency with Susannah Birgit name. Needs checking.........
"I do have a Mary "Polly" Youngblood who was born in 1792, probably in N.C.,
But no marriage info. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Youngblood and Mary
"Polly" Birgit."
Note: This is circumstantial information and needs to be proven to tie into our line

Some think there is Indian blood in family because of high cheek bones...see pictures of Ruth Angeline Maynard a descendent of Mary or Polly.
Note: a brother of Mary or Polly, Jeremiah Youngblood,Jr born abt 1796 md a Cherokee Indian girl, he died after 1882........this may be the root of the Story.(inf abt brother marrying an Indian from Richard Preator...do not know his source.)

History of Dekalb County, Tenn...by Will T. Hale p.30..."Aunt Polly Youngblood is
the oldest resident (written in 1914). She was a Miss Avant, of Dismal Creek.
I was only six months old when she became the wife of William Youngblood, and I
was sixty-eight years old Sept. 23, 1913. There were about thirty houses in
Liberty when I was a child, and nearly all the public travel was by stagecoach."

Information on Youngblood line from Richard E. Preator, Jr, 957 Gregory,
Peculiar, Mo, 64078 who is writing a book on James Dyer. He said his information came from Jean Dobson, who found the information in a small library in Oklahoma. This all needs to be varified.
Publisher of his book: Higginson Publishers, in Salem, Mass. 1999...
He said that they didn't charge him for doing it...not a perfect copy. Quality is not the best. Affordable...puts the information out there. It would cost a lot more to do a better book....
Talked to him on phone .....my Dad Mormon, Dad Baptist.....raised Baptist...not a Mormon....
Preator records...."after John Dyer died in 1844, it is said by the family that his widow Polly married a man named Tolliver, but that she had the marriage annulled because he was cruel to her children."
"Mary's real name was Jane Mary Youngblood but evidently she seldom used her
Given name."
In the early 1840's John Dyer and his family moved to Dekalb Co. and settled on Mine Lick Creek. In recent years the Dyer family cemetery there was taken up and moved to make way for the Center Hill Lake, it was identified as cemetery #55. The cemetery was located behind the home of Millie Luvenia (Dyer) Palmer. Millie's home was on a portion of her father's farm, she also had possession of the family records and pictures that were in the family trunk until she died. The graves are now located in the Mount Holley cemetery in plot #55. There Were 14 graves moved that were unidentified.....one of these was believed to be John dyer's and his wife Polly's grave was probably there too.

He has additional information on other Mary Youngblood's.
Note: conclusion....these clues are helpful but only clues till proof is found.
