First of all, Albert Otto Law is the one you found. He was living with his son in Venango Co.--Polk, PA--at the same address from which he wrote you the letter in 1960. His first wife's name was Gertrude B. Karns 1879-1920. They were married in the Franklin Courthouse, Venango County. His second wife's name was Olive(that is all I know) and dad couldn't remember. Someone else in the family may have her name. Earl's name was Earnest Earl, date b.1875--date of death unknown, the one you show would make him 45 so it may be he. The others were as follows if you should run acrossed them: T. Verner, b 1881--?, Oren Burton 1867-1931,Meade Grove 1873--1955, Alletta Caroline (Gilliland) 1865-1935, Maude Josephine (Williams) 1869--?, Minnie Grace (Bennett) 1870-1948. Dad feels sure that it was Cattaraugus County, New York as his father talked about it. There has also been a family rumor that Gertrude may have been part Indian. There is a town named Otto in the region, he thinks that is an odd name but, I had an uncle named Otto Curtis so I think it's just an old name, but, there may be a connection, who knows. Albert O lived in Pittsburgh and also Titusville, PA. I am told by my sister-in-law that there are somerecords he has not given to me, but, she knows the brother of Wm Elliot has never been found until now and that pleases her, nor did they know about Ephriam living with Cooper, so you have greatly helped. I only hope the papers from Mercer Historical help you as much. There is another lady looking for a Law with a strange name. Livewell Law and Nancy Baggley. Their daughter married Andrew Redman/Redmond. Lived in Mercer Co. came from New York. I thought I would mention this to you in case they sounded familiar, she happened to be in the Historical bldg the same day trying to help someone else and heard our name. Her e mail is pamela@svol.net maybe you have questions for her. Look forward to your next mail. Have you contacted Mercer?? Doris
