Donald was born in Lima, OH, (he thinks it Putnam County).  (My note...it was Allen County)

I made a typ-o on Donald's father's name -- it is McCrate -- just like Donald's.

Donald's dad:  Robert Edward McCrate was born on 08/16/12 in Columbus Grove, OH (also Putnam Co.) - still living he's 90   Donald's mom:  Mary Katherine (Doepker) McCrate was born on 10/20/19 in
Ottawa, OH (also Putnam Co.), deceased died 08/91 (cannot remember exact date but it was in the earlier part of the month -- like 8/6 or 8/8 - she died of cancer of the kidney).

Hi Ellie,

We were wrong -- Mary K was born on 10/20/19.  The internet is correct --
Donald's memory isn't good about dates :-He wasn't sure about the Putnum Co. for Lima -- but you've corrected us 
and then he said "oh, yes" -- Some people just don't have good memories for numbers (I do -- but not with dates - hm)  So -- you have the correct Mary Katherine. She died and was buried (both) in Tecumseh, MI at the 
cemetery across from the Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth's.  Donald's dad, Robert  E. will be buried in the grave next to her when his time comes.

   The 1920 Census for Ottawa, Putnam Co.,Ohio was taken on 8 Jan 1920 so the baby shows up as Mary K.  daughter   3/12  bn Ohio....which is proof of her birth being in 1919. 

It shows August L. Doepker  33  bn Ohio parents born in Ohio.....and he was working as a laborer on Steam Rail Road....
