      I have a question regarding Andrew Jackson Garrison's 1st family.
      This is in my notes:
National Archives...Abstracts of A.J.Garrison pension records, deposition A, P 43-48.  Glatha Jane Garrison
(2nd wife) stated that Andrew had been married  1st to Narcisse Pridy before the war...children by first wife
"he had three.  I understand two of them are living (Sarah Reynols and Mattie Mason) one is dead."

3-Matilda Jane information in my notes:
1860 Census Dekalb County Tennessee listed as 9 years old. She does not appear on the 1870 Census with her
family...could be married by then at 19.  However: National Archives...abstract of Andrew Jackson Garrison's pension records  Deposition A  p.43-48..Glatha Jane Allison Garrison (2nd wife) states that there were three children from first marriage, one died.  She names Sarah Reynold and Mattie Mason as living....but does not name Matilda nor does she name a son, Andrew,Jr.
   
Sandy, so many of my records are in storage and I was wondering if you have the information on the 1870
Census.  Does is list a son, Andrew?  I'm just trying to document all the records that I can.  Please send
the census information if you can.  
In my effort to document the records, I'm really having a lot of luck with ancestry.com.... Please let me know what your thoughts are on this.  I wonder why Glatha Jane didn't mention an Andrew or a 4th child? Does this  Andrew,Jr. really belong to our Andrew Jackson Garrison or someone else?

1870 Smith County Tennessee Census p.6  Andrew is listed as 9 yrs.born Tennessee.  His birth would be approximately  1961 according to census.  He was probably born in Dekalb County, Tennessee rather than near Nashville.

Jean Beals Whiteneck's great grandfather was Andrew Jackson Garrison and her Great grandmother would be his 1st wife: Narcissa.
