Andrew and his son Alexander moved from Penn. and settled on Borden's Grant, in Augusta county, Virginia(now Rockbridge county ). His wife and eleven chilldren were already in Borden's Grant.Of his childern ,three sons and one daughter died enroute to America.Andrew mother was named Isabella Morton. (This note came from a download of a Moore Gedcom).Andrew Moore went to North Ireland during reformation. Migrated to America 1738 and settled in Lancaster County, Penn; then to Augusta County, Virginia. Andrew and Isabella are buried at Old Providence Cemetery, Raphine, Virginia.Old Providence Church Register shows Andrew and Isabella having 11 sons and 1 daughter; William, John, Quantan, James, David, Alexander, Samuel, Elihu, Patrick, Andrew, and one not knowing and one daughter. Both were buried at the Old Providence Cemetary, Raphine, Va.His will was probated 5/19/1749 in Augusta County, Va.Tradition -- Moores descended from a ..McCollum Moore, son of Duke of Argyle. It is likely that Isabella was the sister of Andrew Baxter who lived nearby on Borden Grant Land Patented in 1742. The land was 200 acres near the patent line.Isabella Baxter, as a young girl, was in Londonderry at the time of the siege, 1689, married Andrew Moore and came to Virginia in 1738 with family of a daughter and tens sons came to America and settled on Bordens's Grant. One of her sons was David Moore, 1722-1783, who married Mary Evans, he was probably founder of "Canicello".
