Notes:
William's first wife apparently died between the 1860 and 1870 census as did his brother, George B Hall. He then married his brother's widow. At this time it is not known how many children each wife had. In the 1860 census there were only four children listed born to William and Margaret. George and Sarah only had listed the two children that Sarah had by a previous marriage. I am listing all the children except Charles with Margaret as on the 1880 census it stated that the children's mother was from North Caroline where Margaret was born. Sarah was born in Georgia. However, it is confussing on Charles. He was not listed on the 1870 census with the family but on the 1880 census he was listed as age 11 and his mother from NC. There is a question on his age. Is he the son of Sarah or Margaret's?. I have listed him as Sarah's due to the age factor. Birth records are needed before any sealings can be done. 1850 census, 26 Dec, Dist. 26, Cherokee, Alabama. Alabama **Note: There is a question when Charles was born. He was not listed in the 29 Jun1870 census. Was listed as age 11 in this census. His mother must have been Sarah Francis. That is where I will list him as of 3-16-07.
Notes:
Sarah was previously married to Mr. Nickson, had two children named Elizabeth and Mary, then married George B Hall. He apparently died between 1860 and 1870. Sarah then married WilliamM Hall, brother to George. She took her daughter, Mary, with her. On the 1860 census (married to George) and 1870 census (married to William) Sarah was listed as Sarah F. On the 1880 census she was listed as Francis. On the 1880 census Francis lists her father and mother born in Georgia.

Notes:
Charles was found on the 9 Jun 1880 census as age 11 with his father, William and mother, [Sarah] Francis. He was not listed on the 29 June 1870 census, therefore he could not have been born at that time. He would have had to be born after that census. I am estimating that he is born in 1870 after the census was taken.
