DEATH: Mary's death from Commerce Journal 27 Jul 1906. This is a mystery. The date listed in the article stated her death date as 13 May 1906. Check why the difference. There was also another article on 27 Jul 1906 showing her nephew attending the funeral, George B Hall, Judge in Commerce. (Found later that sometimes the obits were in the paper a couple of months later.) This clue lead us to the brothers of Barnabas and his family line.

DEATH OF MRS. MARY HALL. Mrs. Mary A. Hall, mother of Mayor J. A. Hall, died Sunday [13 May 1906] and was buried Monday in the City Cemetery, where the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Beckham of Quinlan, assisteed by Rev. Gibson of this place. The following sketch of the life of Mrs. Hall was written by Mr.* W. E. Mangum.
"Mrs. Mary Ann Hall (nee Randle) was born near Decatur, Ga., Jan. 10th, 1825. Professed faith in Christ at the age [of] ten years and joined the M.E. Church South and lived a consecrated Christian life until her Lord said it is long enough, come up higher, and on the 13th day of May, 1906, she obeyed the command and laid down her long and useful life here below, and entered into the celestial city where no darkness is known nor age is reckoned.
Three years ago she came to Texas to make her home with her only son, Dr. J. A. Hall. In this town she yielded to the inevitable. She leaves one son and two daughters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
This aged woman's life has been a spiritual light all along her pathway.
She married Barnibas [Barnabas] P. Hall October 4, 1849. He died December 22, 1879, in Alabama.
All who knew Sister Hall best, knew her to love her most for her bright Christian life. May the bereaved lean upon the arm of Him who alone is able to console."
[*W.E. Mangum died in Nov. 1921.]

This was a great break through as it led to her husband's burial place and the Randle ancestors. See Barnabus notes.

Found on Familysearch a Mary Ann Parks Randle born 1825 in Jasper Co., Georgia. Some of her siblings were born there all from the 1870 census. Her obit said she was born near Decatur, DeKalb, Georgia.
