Lovell Chronicle, July 3, 2008

Phillip Winterholler, 90, died at his home in Star Lake, Wash., on June 6, 2008. Born on July 7, 1917 in Belfry, Mont., he was one of 19 children born to German-Russian parents. He had been a Federal Way, Wash. area resident for the last 60 years.He graduated from Lovell High School in 1937 and attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie and earned his degree in industrial engineering. He served in the U.S. Army during the Second World War and served in New Guinea. He went to work for the Boeing Co. in Seattle and retired in 1979. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn, and 18 brothers and sisters. Phil is survived by his two daughters and two sons, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Star Lake Ward, on Friday, June 20, 2008.
