RESEARCH NOTE:
    Sir John Aubrey, 3rd Bt. was born on 20 June 1680. He was the son of Sir John Aubrey, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Lowther. He married, firstly, Mary Stealy on 20 June 1701 at St. James's, Westminster, London, England. He married, secondly, Frances Jephson, daughter of William Jephson and Mary Lewis, after 1708. He married, thirdly, Jane Thomas on 1 February 1724/25 at St. Benet's, Paul's Wharf, London, England. He died on 16 April 1743 at age 62.1 He was buried on 23 April 1743 at Boarstall, Buckinghamshire, England.
    Sir John Aubrey, 3rd Bt. matriculated at Jesus College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 7 April 1698. He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Aubrey, of Llantrithyd, co. Glamorgan [E., 1660] in September 1700, and "of Boarstall, co. Bucks." He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cardiff from February 1706 to 1710. He held the office of Sheriff of Glamorganshire from 1710 to 1711.
