--Early family records gave Richard's birthplace as Osuelra, Wales, England.
This caused some confusion, but Oswestry is right near the Welsh/English
border and seems to be the proper location.  Checks were made in the
Oswaldtwhistle P.R., just north of Bury, but nothing was found.  The early
records also only gave one child, Alice.
