Notes: Taken from The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage Books p. 56 Nicholas Hamner was a patriot who signed the Oath of Allegiance of Albemarle County, where, in 1703, he was born. From Hamner Heritage: "Nicholas died, without a will, before February 22, 1794. A copy of the appraisal of his estate give evidence that he was a planter." A copy of the appraisal is on page 5-6 of Hamner Heritage by Geneal Hamner Black and Mary Clark Ryan. It is take from Will Book 3, page 220- Albemarle County, Virginia Records.
