Taken from: The Hamner Page Familytreemaker.genealogy.com/scv/users/h/a/Hamner-Darrell-L My gggrandfather,Henley W. J. Hamner was 33 when he enlisted. He is listed as a corporal on the company muster roll dated 12 June 1862. He served in Co.F (The North River Tigers) 38th Alabama Infantry Volunteers. His regiment was one of the many that did not cover itself in fame and glory during the war; even though it saw action at Chicamauga, Missionary Ridge, Rocky Face Mt.
