                   Charles Godfred DeFriez was adopted into and sealed to George and Ann Jarvis, as they were so kind to him.  In 1882, he had his name officially changed to Jarvis.  His own parents, Dr. Joseph George and Mary Annn Godfrey DeFriez, were in England, and he had not seen them in many years.  This was before the directive by Wilford Woodruff that individuals should be sealed to their own parents.
