                       Sealed to CARTER in SL Temple 23 Sep 1914. Nellie was sealed to her
    mother's second husband, Reed CARTER.  Nellie was never legally adopted
    by Reed CARTER.  Her father, Arthur Methusela DeGRAW, abandoned the family
    when the children were young.
    Vernessa Edna DeGraw and Alta Theora DeGraw were also sealed to Reed
    Carter and their mother in the Salt Lake City Temple 23 September, 1914.

                       Marjorie died of complications of   diabetis, with kidney failure and heart
    failure the morning of January 20th, 1990
    We received a phone call from a nurse at the hospital in Lovelock, Nevada
    at 4:07 A.M. this morning giving us the news and asking what we wanted
    done with her body.  Morley told this nurse that Marjorie's mother was
    still alive and that she would be the one to make the decision but please
    do not call her until a reasonable hour.
    Marjorie was in a mental hospital from the time she was a young teenager.
    Her life was very sad.  No husband or children, and most of all no
    happiness.  She wanted to get out of the hospital, all of her life.
    She spent a few weeks now and then with her mother, but was so irrational
    that she had to go back to Sparks, Nevada and the mental home, to be taken
    care of.
    We visited her three times during her life and sent her birthday and
    Christmas gifts.
    She is now at peace.
    On July 18, 1991 Marjorie received her endowments on the 9:20 A.M. living
    endowment session in the Jorden River Temple.  Vaniece was the proxie.  It was
    the new film with the blond Eve and the brunette Adam.  A beautiful movie.
