Mr. White was also known as John Carl Heinicke and John C. Heinecke. It is
presumed that he assummed the identity of his wife's previous husband, Mr.
Heinicke. Mr. White was a disagreeable person, unkind to his children and
disrespectful of his wife and family.

Mary Elizabeth Bennett was previously married to Mr. Heinicke, by whom she had
several children. Mr. Heinicke was employed as a translater of languages in
Washington D.C. Perhaps Mr. & Mrs. Heinicke were seperated. Obviously he was
gone a great deal of the time as Mrs. Heinicke had children also by John Carl
White who passed himself off as Mr. Heinicke, even assuming the alias of Mr.
Heinicke (Heinecke). Eventually, Mr.& Mrs. Heinicke were divorced. Mr.
Heinicke sued Mr. White for alleniation of affections -- and Mrs. Heinicke
married legally, Mr. White. Children of Mrs. Heinicke are fathered by both Mr.
Heinicke and Mr. White, before and after marriages and divorces. Discrepancies
in dates relating to this family are a consequence of misinformation recorded
in public records. Family members are reluctant to discuss the matter.
Mary Elizabeth Bennett was placed in the Luthern Children's Orphanage in
Baltimore; adopted by heraunt, Mrs. Seidenburg, returned to the orphanage and
adopted a second time to a family who is not at present identified.
