    Freighting, farming and stock raising.

NOTES:
    1. In 1880 William went to Santa Fe, New Mexico, to engage in railroading, and subsequently he went to Colorado, where he stayed two years assisting in building the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad into Utah.
    2. In 1887 he became a permanent settler of Syracuse, Davis County, Utah.
    3. William and Helen had twelve children, 5 boys and 7 girls.
