Notes:
Edward was known as Earl. His wife was named Marie. Thier son
Stanley and his wife Peggy ran a resturant in Grafton, Jersey, Illinois.
Earl operated a bait shop that was attached to the resturant.
For many years the whole extended family lived in a home which was
beneath the resturant. The building was on the side of a hill, with the
resturant at highway level on the top. The Illinois river was just a
short distance from the highway. Maybye 150 yards. At times the river
would flood, and the family building would be under water.
Stanley bought some land away from the river, but still in Grafton.
It was known as Mason Hollow. Stanley built a house there, and his sons
put trailer homes on the property.
Thomas A. Murphy Jr. owned a house and small plot of ground in Mason
Hollow, but it was sold on his death.
